Captain America: Civil War #NoSpoilers

Plot
Political interference in the Avengers' activities causes a rift between former allies Captain America and Iron Man.

Cast (The entire star cast is not included to avoid spoilers)
  • Chris Evans as Steve Rogers / Captain America
  • Robert Downey, Jr. as Tony Stark / Iron Man
  • Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow
  • Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier

Acting
There are a lot of well-known actors in this movie. Each and every character here had too many different layers and were performed effortlessly. However the cinematography out does the performances of the actors here.

Direction
The direction here is excellent. Well as expected, the IMAX version of the film is better than the regular 3D screen.

Dialogues
Most of the iconic lies of the movie are already revealed in the trailer, however writing of this movie is pretty good and there are many “Awestrucking” moments in the film. However the only complaint I had was, The IRON MAN is shown way less quirky and lacks humour in this one.

Editing
This is the longest marvel movie ever made. The first half of the movie is a bit slow and the audiences feel it to be quite stretched, Though it is not as slow as earlier part ,the winter soldier. However the viewers will forget all the negatives as soon as the “Clash scene” between the avengers comes up.

Story (No spoilers)
Cannot write much about the story here so that I don’t reveal much.
Comparing the last DC movie (Batman vsSuperman: Dawn of Justice), this movie is far better in story telling.
Do not forget to wait for the numbering to end. There is a great surprise at the end of the film for the audiences.

Overall
If you are a Marvel fan you have to watch this, but if you are a DC fan, this might change you to a Marvel fan!

Verdict
My rating is 4/5.

Mother's Day

Plot
As Mother's Day draws close, a group of seemingly unconnected people come to terms with the relationships they have with their mothers.

Cast

  • Jennifer Aniston as Sandy
  • Julia Roberts as Miranda
  • Kate Hudson as Jesse
  • Jason Sudeikis as Bradley
  • Timothy Olyphant as Henry
  • Britt Robertson as Kristin
  • Jack Whitehall as Zack

Acting
There are a lot of well-known actors in is movie. Each and every character here had too many different layers and were performed effortlessly.

Direction
The direction here is excellent. Being a comedy film, the simplicity in the direction of the film plays major role in the entire movie.

Dialogues
The dialogues are well written. They strike right to the heart of the audiences. I could see people all teared up in emotion at some particular lines as one can relate to the characters which are very well presented here.

Editing
The movie being of two hours could have been shorter.

Story
As the title suggests the movie is all about mothers. Wide spectrum of issues faced by parents as well as their children are showcased here. From acceptance of ones child as a lesbian to the entrance of a new women in her ex-husband’s life is well narrated by showcasing different stories traversing parallel in the same time zone while having some minor intersections in their life.  The part that touched my soul was the story of Jason Sudeikis, a widower of an army officer who is the father of two daughters and is trying to take their mother’s position.

Overall
The best movie you can go watch with or family on this mother’s day!

Verdict
My rating is 4/5.

Trailer

10 Cloverfield Lane

Plot
After getting in a car accident, a woman is held in a shelter with two men, who claim the outside world is affected by a widespread chemical attack.

Cast
  • Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Michelle
  • John Goodman as Howard Stambler
  • John Gallagher, Jr. as Emmett DeWitt

Acting
The title character being very few have done an amazing job here. The only positive note about this movie is the performances of the actors.

Direction
I must say the movie lacks in terms of professional direction here. The direction is too mediocre to be that it is not even worth mentioning .Not so great work here.

Dialogues
A decent job by the dialogue writers. There are no iconic lines in the movie, however the film doesn’t need great lines too.

Editing
I didn’t find any scene in the movie that could have been edited out certainly the editing is not the worst part here. Except the climax. The climax here is just AWFUL.

Story
The movie opens with Michelle leaving her boyfriend which has nothing to do with the entire plot of the movie and has been never used in the entire movie. Moving on, she gets into an accident and suddenly wakes up in a bunker well equipped to survive the dooms day.
Howard is a weirdo who is Michelle’s captor and that’s your story.
The entire story of this movie is good but the climax as I mentioned earlier makes the ship sink deep. The writer have included an Alien attack just for a closure for the movie so as to build a sequel (well…that’s my speculation). The dreadful climax ruins the entire experience of the audiences.

Overall
A good movie with a disastrous ending which ruins the hard work that the actors have done.

Verdict
My rating is 1/5.

Laal Rang

Plot
A social drama full of black humour set in the milieu of Karnal's blood theft mafia.

Cast
·         Randeep Hooda
·         Piaa Bajpai
·         Akshay Oberoi
·         Rajniesh Duggall
·         Ashutosh Kaushik
·         Meenakshi Dixit
·         Shreya Narayan
·         Rajendra Sethi
·         Pushkar Anand
·         Kumar Saurabh
·         Atul Chouthmal

Acting
The only great element about this movie is Randeep Hooda’s performance. We have already seen him in “the desi Haryanvi” role. It is the same here, but still he out does his last movie with ease.

Direction
I must say the movie lacks in terms of professional direction here. The direction is too mediocre to be that it is not even worth mentioning.

Dialogues
A decent job by the dialogue writers. There are no iconic lines in the movie, however the film doesn’t need great lines too.

Editing
I didn’t find any scene in the movie that could have been edited out certainly the editing is not the worst part here.

Story
Speaking about the worst part, here it comes. My expectation for this movie was bit higher than what I saw. The story is nothing but a simple criminal vs policeman movie where the hero surrenders at the end. The portrayal of each character wasn’t clear enough to sort out their importance. Because of the slow pace the story fails to keep the audience inclined towards the movie till the end.

Overall
Watch this one if you have nothing to do and have an extra Rs.150 in your pocket or when it gets a T.V. release.
Verdict
My rating is 1.5/5.

P.S. This score is just for Randeep Hooda's peformance.

Fan

Plot
Gaurav, a huge fan of movie star Aryan Khanna, heads to Mumbai in order to wish his God a happy birthday. When things don't go according to plan, Gaurav's obsession with Aryan crosses the line.

Cast
Shah Rukh Khan as Aryan Khanna / Gaurav Chandna
Waluscha de Sousa
Shriya Pilgaonkar
Deepika Amin as Gaurav's mother
Yogendra Tiku as Gaurav's father

Acting
Shah Rukh Khan as Gaurav (The Fan) was great but however Aryan Kanna was played with least energy possible. This might be because of lack of layers in the character or Shah Rukh wanted it to be that way. The prosthetic team has done an excellent job which in turn reflects n his performance.

Direction
Maneesh Sharma had a pretty good idea about his method of executing this film.
Listing his filmography, he has done a better job when compared to his previous movies.

Dialogues
Many of you might not agree on this part of my post. I understand Gaurav is Aryan’s fan so he is ought to recite his famous dialogues. But after doing the same in “Happy New Year” and “Dilwale”, the dialogues start to irritate the audience, they should have come up with some better idea rather than establishing a character by making him perform the same repetitive lines.

Screenplay
Taking the risk of having only one song in a Bollywood movie ddnt held the screenplay back. The cinematography and the background score are awesome.

Editing
Editing could have been better. The movie is too dragged and sould have been atleast 30 mins shorter.

Story
The fan who is obsessed with the star, wants his name written down in history with the star and for that he goes to utter madness.
There is no element of surprise here. The entire plot of the movie is revealed in the trailer.
There are too many loopholes in the movie to neglect them.
However the climax is not upto the mark.

Overall
This movie is for a Shah Rukh khan fan only. Haters please avoid.

Verdict
My rating is 2.5/5.

The Jungle Book

Plot

An orphan boy is raised in the jungle with the help of a pack of wolves, a bear and a black panther. The Happy go lucky life turns around when “shere khan” enters for a revenge.

Acting
Neil Sethi at an age of 12 completely leaves the audience mesmerized by his performance.
Being the only actor on the set, you cannot even notice a delay or fringe in his performance.

Direction
40% of credit for Neil’s performance goes to the director and his team here. Excellent view points and vision for lifelike Computer Graphics.

Animation and Dub
The Entire movie is remains exciting just because of its VFX and CG. The characters are close to real. Some people call it “Photreal”.The voices given to each character are awesome the dub artist being well established actors helps the movie a lot.

Story
The story is not too strong for the so called 90’s kid as the movie is all the same as that it was 20 years back.
The movie is about a boy, stranded in a jungle as an infant. He s raised p by a pack of wolves. Soon after some years pass by and the tiger AKA our villain enters to take his part of the revenge for some old grudge. The energy drops in the last hour however the climax put its right back on track.

Overall
If you like occasionally getting all “teared up” wearing a pair of 3D glasses and getting lost in the world of fantasy, do watch this movie.

Verdict
My rating is 3.5/5.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice #NoSpoilers

Plot

Fearing the actions of Superman are left unchecked, Batman takes on the man of steel, while the world wrestles with what kind of a hero it really needs. With Batman and Superman fighting each other, a new threat, Doomsday, is created by Lex Luthor. It's up to Superman and Batman to set aside their differences along with Wonder Woman to stop Lex Luthor and Doomsday from destroying Metropolis.

Cast

·         Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne / Batman
·         Henry Cavill as Kal-El / Clark Kent / Superman
·         Amy Adams as Lois Lane
·         Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor
·         Diane Lane as Martha Kent
·         Laurence Fishburne as Perry White
·         Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth
·         Holly Hunter as June Finch
·         Gal Gadot as Diana Prince / Wonder Woman

Acting

Ben Affleck plays his part with a great beauty. Comparing him with is Christian Bale, Affleck was equally good. Henry Cavill also played his part pretty much as expected. The other supporting actors have also done a good job. No complaints in any performances here.

Direction
It was a typical Zack Snyder direction. One cannot go wrong if he is a Snyder. The cinematography is commendable here.
Full Marks in Direction.

Dialogues
Not many great lines written in this movie. The dialogues didn’t have much to do with the character built up of each actor. The only memorable and iconic line was the one they have played it in the trailers. “Do you bleed…. You will”.

 Screenplay
Screenplay and GFX had to be good. It’s a D.C. movie after all. Nothing to boast about because it is pretty much expected.

Editing
Editing could have been better. I felt they dragged the end post climax a bit too long.

Story
I am greatly disappointed with the story line created here. The story makes the first half of the movie slow and the graph of the doesn’t rise until the second half. Not a single WOW moment in the first half. I was pretty much disappointed as I didn’t get what was expected and the story line didn’t live up to the hype created .

Overall
Go watch this movie only if you are a D.C. fan

Verdict
My rating is 3/5.

Acting
Rishi Kapoor was exceptionally good at playing an old man's part in the film.Ratna Pathak being a stage actor was without a doubt extraordinary . Alia Bhatt and Fawad khan were pretty good too. However Siddharth Malhotra was mediocre as always. I think he has done enough films where he hates his so called "BRO". Three time still no charm.

Dialogues
Performances wouldn't have been so great without the upheld and sophisticated writing. Though there are some clichés in the movie . Overall its a job done well,

Story
The story revolves around a family of kapoors.. The oldest one is in the  last stages of his life. And he wants a picture of his complete family as his eternal and last wish. The entire family reunites for the picture which brings all their internal problem to surface.

Overall
Its a nice and meaningful film with a lot of deprh adding greater to the dimensions of the film. I recommend watching it only if you are into emotional movies.

Verdicts
I rate it 3/5.

                                                                                                                      Source Wikipedia

Acting
No part in the entire movie will you feel bored. The actors grip you by their side for entire 2hrs 40mins and you wish the film should never end.
Robert Carlyle does an impressive job. You hate him for obvious reasons but I don’t know why there are certain moments where you start understanding his point of view(though it might be wrong and outrageous).
All other supporting characters were played very well and is commendable.

Direction
The director was able to recreate the era of WW1 ad WW2 successfully. I don’t he did it on purpose or not but most of the scenes here are shot in the style of movies of 1960s.

Dialogues
Writing is the real king of the plot. The hate speeches leaves a great impact on the minds of the audience.

Story
The tory is more like an autobiography of Hitler Right from his childhood, till the year he comes in full power, is the entire story here. Not many of us know how did Hitler actually rise to such power that he became the world’s cruellest yet the most famous dictator of all time
.
Overall
I highly recommended this one for history fanatics but if you don’t usually watch movies which are too metaphoric and deep rooted in their own self, this is not the one you should watch.

Verdict
My rating is 4.5/5.
