Plot
Gaurav, a huge fan
of movie star Aryan Khanna, heads to Mumbai in order to wish his God a happy
birthday. When things don't go according to plan, Gaurav's obsession with Aryan
crosses the line.
Cast
Shah Rukh Khan as Aryan
Khanna / Gaurav Chandna
Waluscha de Sousa
Shriya Pilgaonkar
Deepika Amin as Gaurav's
mother
Yogendra Tiku as Gaurav's
father
Acting
Shah Rukh Khan as Gaurav
(The Fan) was great but however Aryan Kanna was played with least energy
possible. This might be because of lack of layers in the character or Shah Rukh
wanted it to be that way. The prosthetic team has done an excellent job which
in turn reflects n his performance.
Direction
Maneesh Sharma had
a pretty good idea about his method of executing this film.
Listing his filmography,
he has done a better job when compared to his previous movies.
Dialogues
Many of you might not
agree on this part of my post. I understand Gaurav is Aryan’s fan so he is
ought to recite his famous dialogues. But after doing the same in “Happy New
Year” and “Dilwale”, the dialogues start to irritate the audience, they should
have come up with some better idea rather than establishing a character by
making him perform the same repetitive lines.
Screenplay
Taking the risk of having
only one song in a Bollywood movie ddnt held the screenplay back. The
cinematography and the background score are awesome.
Editing
Editing could have been
better. The movie is too dragged and sould have been atleast 30 mins shorter.
Story
The fan who is obsessed
with the star, wants his name written down in history with the star and for
that he goes to utter madness.
There is no element of
surprise here. The entire plot of the movie is revealed in the trailer.
There are too many
loopholes in the movie to neglect them.
However the
climax is not upto the mark.
Overall
This movie is for a Shah
Rukh khan fan only. Haters please avoid.
Verdict
My rating is 2.5/5.
