As Mother's Day draws close, a group of
seemingly unconnected people come to terms with the relationships they have
with their mothers.
Cast
- Jennifer Aniston as Sandy
- Julia Roberts as Miranda
- Kate Hudson as Jesse
- Jason Sudeikis as Bradley
- Timothy Olyphant as Henry
- Britt Robertson as Kristin
- Jack Whitehall as Zack
Acting
There are a lot of well-known actors in is movie. Each and every
character here had too many different layers and were performed effortlessly.
Direction
The direction here is excellent. Being a comedy
film, the simplicity in the direction of the film plays major role in the
entire movie.
Dialogues
The dialogues are well written. They strike right to the heart of the audiences.
I could see people all teared up in emotion at some particular lines as one can
relate to the characters which are very well presented here.
Editing
The movie being of two hours could have been shorter.
Story
As the title suggests the movie is all about
mothers. Wide spectrum of issues faced by parents as well as their children are
showcased here. From acceptance of ones child as a lesbian to the entrance of a
new women in her ex-husband’s life is well narrated by showcasing different
stories traversing parallel in the same time zone while having some minor
intersections in their life. The part
that touched my soul was the story of Jason Sudeikis, a widower of an
army officer who is the father of two daughters and is trying to take their mother’s
position.
Overall
The best movie you can go watch with or family on this mother’s day!
Verdict
My rating is 4/5.
